ACID-BASE and ELECTROLYTE EMERGENCIES
Kathleen H. Toto, R.N., M.S.N., ACNP, is an expert clinician and an accomplished nurse educator. She has had over eighteen years experience in critical care, including staff, management, and educator roles, and currently works as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. She is the former Critical Care Education Coordinator and former Coordinator of the Critical Care and Trauma Nurse Internship at Parkland. Ms. Toto has contributed numerous articles/chapters to the nursing literature, including Williams and Wilkins' Case Studies in Critical Care Nursing. She is a coauthor of the forthcoming Elsevier publication Critical Care Skills: A Clinical Handbook 2nd Edition. She has lectured extensively throughout the country, including the NTI.
