ASSESSMENT of the ACUTELY ILL
Mary K. Roberts, R.N., M.S.N., CCRN, ACNP-BC, is currently an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Trauma Service of one of the nation's leading Level I Trauma Centers.
She also has an extensive background in critical care, including thirteen years as an instructor in the Critical Care and Trauma Nurse Internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Mary has contributed several articles and chapters to the nursing literature, and is a co-author of Critical Care Skills: A Clinical Handbook, the AJN 2004 Book of the Year for critical care. She receives consistently positive feedback from seminar participants, who comment on her knowledge base, ability to relate theory to clinical practice, and sense of humor.
