INTRODUCTION

Renal physiology is a complex and fascinating phenomenon. Because of the kidney's central role in the maintenance of homeostasis, alterations in renal function can produce life-threatening systemic manifestations. This program is designed to assist the critical care nurse in acquiring a comprehensive knowledge base relative to the renal system.

Presented by an experienced nurse educator who is also a practicing critical care nurse, this program provides answers to many questions which arise daily at the bedside of the critically ill.
